Nowadays, penis enlargement surgery is becoming increasingly popular. And this is due to the fact that part of the male population, although there are no problems, has a complex about the size of their penis. There are several ways to enlarge the genital organs, however not all methods provide long -term effects, in contrast to surgical methods.

Is it possible to enlarge the penis surgically
Enlargement of the male genital organs is of course possible. The desire to undergo surgery does not always occur because the problem really exists. Often, owners of a fairly normal penis size can also acquire such a complex. A large number of men also believe that success in sexual intercourse and the ability to reproduce directly depend on the value of dignity, yet this is by no means the case.
Normal penis size is between 12cm to 18cm when erect. A small penis is considered, measuring between 9 cm to 12 cm. There are also owners of micropenis, which are less than 8 cm long and can reach 2 cm (in an erect state).
Penis enlargement surgery should have indications, and should not be done just because of the male complex. If the desire to enlarge the phallus is due to dissatisfaction with its size, but at the same time its indicators adhere to the average value, it is necessary to visit a psychotherapist or sexologist.
Penis enlargement is only needed in some cases:
- Penile involution, which is characterized, as a rule, by a decrease in muscle tone and tissue elasticity, usually occurs in old age. With the occurrence of involvement, the surgeon will not force surgical intervention and the decision to enlarge the phallus will remain at the discretion of the patient. However, sexual activity declines with age, so many older men take this phenomenon for granted.
- Acquired organ defects or intrauterine anomalies. Congenital malformations of the male limb include the development of a spongy urethra, which causes curvature of the phallus toward the scrotum (hypospadias).
- Lack of urethra (epispadias). The deformities suffered include all types of penile injuries with varying degrees of severity.
- Micropenis is another condition that involves an increase in masculinity by surgical methods.
If a patient wants to undergo surgery to enlarge the phallus, without any indication, the doctor will most likely try to prevent it and, possibly, advise other methods to change the size of the penis.

Among other things, surgical correction and enlargement of the male phallus is a relatively expensive procedure.
Type of operation
There are several ways to enlarge the male genitalia:
Falloprosthetics
Falloprosthetics involve the implantation of a prosthesis into a man’s penis. This type of surgical intervention is quite serious, as these organs are dismantled and then assembled in several parts. Usually, falloprosthetics are performed only if there are indications, when there is no classical method that can overcome the condition. Prior to surgery, patients need to visit the hospital several times to undergo examinations and pass the necessary tests. This type of surgical intervention can not only solve the problem of losing centimeters of male penis, but also to overcome erectile dysfunction, which makes falloprosthetics quite popular among men, despite the high cost of surgery and pain.
The essence of this method is that a special tool is implanted into the body of the penis. This method is performed exclusively under general anesthesia.
There are three types of endoprostheses - semi -rigid, hydraulic and rigid.
Rigid penis prosthesis is cheaper than hydraulic and semi -rigid; however, it is not very popular and is rarely used in surgery. This is due to the fact that this type of endoprosthesis has no plastic memory, and is also unable to change its degree of stiffness. As a result, it turns out that a man always mimics an erection.
In the case of a semi-rigid (one-part) phalloprosthesis, its stiffness is also preserved. But the difference between a one-component prosthesis and a rigid one is that a semi-rigid one consists of two cylinders made of silicone, fitted with wires and rods. Thanks to this design, the phallus can be kept in the required position by changing it by hand.
But a large number of positive reviews are used by hydraulic phalloprostheses, i. e. inflatable (three components). The endoprosthesis has the following structure - two cylinders, which are interconnected by a special pump, and there is also a reservoir of fluid. During penile prosthetics, this cylinder is implanted into the corpus cavernosum of the penis, and a pump is inserted into the male scrotum. The reservoir is placed in the area behind the pubic bone.
To achieve an erection, you need to press the pump several times. Thus, the liquid previously present in the reservoir moves into the cylinder and thus increases its rigidity. Once it is necessary to get rid of the erectile condition, it is necessary to bend the penis and wait for complete relaxation. At this point, the liquid returns to the reservoir. Falloprosthetics with hydraulic implants are the most expensive, but give a more natural and natural physiological appearance, even at rest.
However, the phalloprosthesis for each patient is selected individually, taking into account all the features of the physical structure and only after undergoing a thorough examination of the whole organism. It is not uncommon when consultation with another narrow specialist is required.

As mentioned above, falloprosthetics is a relatively serious procedure, during and after which various complications can arise. That is why the desire to enhance one's dignity is not enough, any clinic will perform this operation only if there are serious indications. Chances are the implant will not take root, and the body will make every effort to replace it, including through the urethra, the crown of the head. In addition to displacement, twisting and fracture of the prosthesis are possible. As a result of squeezing, the patient may experience necrosis of the genital organs or skin, an injury to the epithelium that covers the foreign body. Among the complications can also be distinguished: the development of inflammatory processes; penile hematoma, edema, painful postoperative conditions, decreased organ sensitivity; problems with urination. During intercourse, there is a possibility of displacement or violation of the integrity of the implant, as well as pain and discomfort.
Lipofilling
Lipofilling refers to minimally invasive plastic surgery. And it has a number of advantages over the method described above, however, this is more aimed at increasing the length of the phallus, but its thickness.

Lipofilling involves the introduction of biomaterial (the patient’s adipose tissue) under the skin of the penis, so in addition to this procedure, liposuction should be performed. The use of fat cells of patients often excludes the presence of allergic reactions, however it can lead to inflammatory processes.
Lipofilling is performed in several stages:
- First of all, liposuction is done. That is, the required amount of biomaterial is pumped out of the patient’s abdomen, legs or back.
- After that, the adipose tissue undergoes a cleansing procedure from all kinds of harmful components.
- The next stage is filling the penis with fat cells. This happens with syringes and microcannula. Fat is injected throughout the entire penis.
- At the end of the operation, a bandage is applied to the patient.
In the postoperative period, some recommendations must be followed: it is not desirable to visit saunas, swimming pools and other bodies of water, you should refrain from having intercourse. Adhering to these simple rules will only bring you closer to a positive result.
Lipofilling is relevant when:
- The patient is quite satisfied with its length, but he is not satisfied with the diameter of the penis, i. e. congenital thinning (including if this is the result of enlargement of the organ independently with the help of an extender).
- Due to the physiological characteristics of the partner, the vagina is too wide.
- There is erectile dysfunction, which is caused not by physiological abnormalities, but by psychology and is associated with dissatisfaction with a man’s self -esteem measure.
- Asymmetry of congenital or traumatic lesions.
- Restoration of aesthetic appearance after removal of silicone implants.
- The patient has a micropenis.
Lipofilling has several advantages:

- General anesthesia is not required.
- Recovery after the procedure is not long and only takes a few days.
- The effects are long -term, and although doctors do not guarantee a lifetime improvement, the measurements remain long -lasting.
- This procedure has no contraindications.
- If necessary, the surgeon can always correct the shape of the penis.
- Significant price difference when compared to penis prosthetics.
Despite the fact that the bruises and swelling that appeared during the operation disappeared within three days, the final result was assessed only after a week.
However, even this seemingly positive operation has a number of complications and contraindications on all sides.
The following complications may occur after lip filling:
- painful sensations during urination are possible;
- in places where biomaterials are injected, skin pigmentation sometimes occurs;
- swelling of the penis and legs;
- rare, but coincidentally adipose tissue is not evenly distributed throughout the male organ, but will become a lump under the skin, and asymmetrical penis enlargement may also occur;
- scar tissue cavernosa;
- accumulation of purulent fluid under the skin in the groin and penis;
- inflammation of the lymph nodes in the groin area.

If the patient has complications, you should see a doctor immediately. The specialist will prescribe medication treatment or correction of the form (depending on the problem that arises).
Lipofilling is contraindicated for people suffering from diabetes mellitus, vascular and arterial diseases, the presence of penile defects (congenital or acquired), urethral infections, the presence of venereal diseases, oncology, rashes on the penis. Lipofilling is also not performed for people with weakened immunity and mental disabilities.
It is important to choose a clinic that is proven to be good for this type of surgery. The desire to save money can lead to serious consequences.
Ligamentotomy
The male reproductive system is designed in such a way that as blood flows to the penis, the ligaments located in the genital area begin to tighten the organ, as it rises.
The essence of a ligamentotomy is to cut this ligament (ligament), thus keeping the penis away from the pubic bone to which it is attached, as it will increase.
However, penis enlargement does not lie with the surgeon cutting the ligaments, but how the ligaments will then grow together. Once the ligament is trimmed, the phallus is bent down and stretched, and the inside is pulled out of the pelvic area and repaired.
When magnified in this way, the results depend on the plastic surgeon and the patient. A man needs to stretch his penis with an extender for 14 days. Thanks to the ligamentotomy procedure, it is easy to add the desired 3-5 centimeters on the manhood. The result of a ligamentotomy is lifelong, because if the ligaments grow together in a similar position, then nothing will return to its original position.

Ligamentotomy is performed either under general anesthesia or with spinal anesthesia. The process itself lasts for 30 minutes, and recovery takes two weeks. However, we were able to discuss the final results only six months later, when the ligaments actually grew.
The main advantage of ligamentotomy is, such an operation does not involve complications and does not affect a man’s sexual health.
Ligamentotomy, like phalloprosthetics, is performed only for medical reasons, but this operation has been repeatedly performed, only based on the patient’s wishes.
Micro Muscle Transfer
The essence of the method is that the patient’s penis is wrapped with a musculocutaneous flap, having made an incision around its base and lowering the skin downwards. The operation lasts for 2-3 hours, under general anesthesia, and upon completion, the patient's organs immediately become thicker, about 3-4 centimeters.
Biomaterial for transplantation was taken from the person being operated on, from the abdominal wall or the armpit area.
Postoperative recovery lasts 4-6 weeks; a man can leave the hospital after 5-7 days.

The skin itself is well rooted, which does not include a number of complications, other than painful sensations.
Muscle transplants are rare. This is due to the high cost of this service.
Possible complications
Complications after plastic surgery can arise both in the case of medical malpractice, and in the case of irresponsible attitude to the recommendations in the time of recovery.
The most common complications are:
- male genital deformities;
- changes in erection angle;
- shorten the shaft of the penis;
- erectile dysfunction;
- decreased sensitivity of the man's penis.
It is not entirely possible to avoid the onset of complications after an increase in male mucus. However, you should choose a clinic carefully for this procedure, as 80% of the results depend on it.
